HYBRID SERVICES
We gather at 10:00 AM on Sundays in addition to providing a simple, interactive option online via ZOOM for those who might not be able to join us in person.
Whether in person or online - we look forward to growing with you!
Getting to know each other
We know that visiting a church and meeting new people can often be intimidating, maybe even a bit scary.
At Christ Community we want to help make your first experience with us a positive and encouraging one. When you arrive, there will be people to welcome you and help you get settled, and we always have some coffee on and a few goodies (maybe even lunch!) to share as we connect afterwards.
Sunday Service Times
On Sundays our Christ Community family meets to reflect on and celebrate the new life Jesus has given us. We gather from 10:00 - 11:30 AM at 1419 Peninsula Ave. (across from the high school). You are most welcome to join us!
In addition to several mid-week small groups, church life continues spontaneously throughout the week in simple acts of kindness or impromptu prayers, over a coffee or around the dinner table, at the beach or around the fire at someone's home. We'd be pleased to extend our hospitality and get to know one another more!
What's the culture like at Christ Community?
Sunday's at Christ Community Church are casual, relaxed and interactive - come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
Because we believe church to be family, we include opportunities to share our stories of faith, pray together, interact with those who teach from the bible, sing songs that are engaging for children as well as adults.
On the 4th Sunday of each month we celebrate Jesus' life, death and resurrection with communion at the end of the service and then connect for an extended time over a simple meal together.
What's available for my children?
We have a table set up at the back of the church hall for kids to draw and colour at the beginning of the service, as well as a nursery room nearby for parents and little ones to access at any time.
Part way through the service children from ages 3-12 can participate in age-appropriate learning and activities downstairs with our teachers and helpers. All teachers and helpers have a criminal records check, and parents are always welcome to join their children to experience these times for themselves and help their children get comfortable in the new setting, especially with your youngest ones.
Wonder Wednesdays takes place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month for children aged 7 - 13, and we partner with other Christian groups in our region to offer special mid-week and summer activities for youth throughout the year - watch for updates on our website and Facebook pages.
